The Neighborhood Stabilization Program is HUD’s program that provides emergency assistance to state and local governments to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandoned and blight within their communities.  The program is administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and is effective April 1, 2009. 

The NSP Program provides a total of $14,000 to cover the cost of repairs and down payment for the buyers who purchase a foreclosed properties in defined areas.  All major counties in the metropolitan area are included in this program.
